So far I have found no reliable way to connect - continuously restarting both phone and desktop apps - it appears in android app to connect but ends up failing after clicking 'Allow' on macbook pro Will update with more experience in a minute - having troubles reconnecting after the first time Once desktop app is opened and you've successfully connected once (i clicked always allow) it should show up on android devices list of connections available.
